Comedian Jon DeCelles

For when that other comic cancels

Bio:

Jon DeCelles is not your ordinary comedian. He was born in Harlem, raised by his brother and sister, grew up as a latch-key-kid on the streets of Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Seaside, McMinnville, and Las Vegas. He is a father, husband, writer, veteran, and a recovered alcoholic. He's a favorite with crowds that enjoy laughing at the absurd. His bizarre story-telling comedy, mixed with a larger-than-life stage presence, and his ability to transform into different characters, will have audiences howling with laughter.

Jon first took the stage in Lincoln Nebraska at Duffy's Tavern in 2005, but soon started landing guest sets at the Funny Bone in Omaha thanks to club owner Colleen Quinn. Audiences enjoyed his outlandish stage presence so much, he decided to try his luck in Los Angeles where he started performing Sunday nights at the Comedy Store. He now lives in Denver and is a regular at the Improv.

Jon has trained with The Second City, and has worked with many great comedians including T.J. Miller, Bert Kreischer, Lachlan Patterson, Mike Epps, Michael Blackson, Jimmy Shubert, Aries Spears, John Paul Morgan, Christina Pazsitzky, Faizon Love, Ms. Pat, and many more.

You can find out more about him on The Improv Green Room Podcast available on iTunes.

His influences include: Eddie Murphy, Steven Wright, Chris Rock, Rodney Dangerfield, George Carlin,  Richard Pryor, Dave Attell, Lenny Bruce, Don Rickles, Johnny Carson, Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, Steve Martin, & Chevy Chase.
